Melody Dixon-Brown is a senior lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies. Lecturing at UNC Charlotte since 1999, Melody is a faculty advisor and lecturer on business communication, event planning, and small group communication. She brings almost 20 years of corporate experience that included BBDO Advertising and DuPont. Her published work includes “Shared Teaching: Models for Business Communications in a Research Environment,” Business Communication Quarterly. Also, Melody co-presented, “Business Presentations: Providing Teaching Guidelines & Feedback to Students” at the 2005 Southeast Regional Conference of the Association for Business Communication in Greensboro, NC.

She has a dual degree in marketing and communications management from Syracuse University and an MBA from The University of Delaware.
