Well, they're in! If you remember, last year we ran an initiative that recognized women around the world - Black Widow Magic. What is it you ask? Black Widow Magic is a feeling, an expression of accomplishment, and resilience for the black and brown widow who has decided that her past struggle will not define her current state. She has decided to move forward and empower others with renewed strength, zest, and faith. This woman is unstoppable and is consistent in empowering her widowed sistas by doing the following:
-inspires other women
-passionate about her work
-shows creativity and innovation
-shows honesty and integrity
-respected by her peers
-loves what she does
-empowers other widows
-displays sisterhood among her black and brown widowed sisters
What does this mean for the widow nominated? This means that you have been recognized by your peers, family or friends.
After tallying the results, I would like to recognize the following winners of Ms. Black Widow Magic USA and Ms. Black Widow Magic International - who were nominated by their peers! These ladies will receive a free printed copy of their respective issues and bragging rights for a year!
Shebbi Eversley (Baltimore, Maryland)- Ms. 2019 Black Widow Magic USA
Faith Audu (Lagos, Nigeria) - Ms. 2019 Black Widow Magic International
We want to thank all of the participants who were nominated and to those who took time out to nominate their peers, thank you!
